Those stark white walls in your brand new apartment can be intimidating and uninviting. You want to make your new space yours and have it feel like home, but you don’t want to damage the walls because you definitely want that security deposit back after your lease is up.

There are plenty of clever ways to decorate your apartment without damaging it, which means you can make your space your own while guaranteeing you receive your security deposit back.

1. Curtains

Give yourself some privacy from nosy neighbors and hide those hideous blinds by putting up some bold curtains. Curtains can be versatile or make a statement in the room. Choose a patterned set of curtains to decorate your apartment or choose a solid color to bring the room together.

The best thing about curtains is that they are able to change from room to room, bringing you diversity in your new apartment. Not only do you get to choose the kind of curtains, but you can also get a fancy or funky curtain rod to hold up your bold new curtains.
