Best-Dressed Characters On TV

By Victoria Robertson on July 23, 2015

We all love television. Whether we’re completely addicted to “The Walking Dead” or can’t get enough of “Scandal,” we’re all watching whenever we get the chance. And for those of you that are fashionistas as well, TV has some of the most fashionable characters of all time.

So for TV and fashion fans alike, here are the best-dressed characters on TV.

Women

Olivia Pope: “Scandal

Kerry Washington is phenomenal as Pope, but that fashion is even better. Honestly, this character could be nominated just based on her amazing coats.

Her fashion packs class, sensuality and strength in every outfit, making her one of the best-dressed characters on television by far.

Jessica Day: “New Girl

Zooey Deschanel is a quirky woman, and her character, Jessica Day, in “New Girl” is no different. This, as I’m sure you can imagine, makes for fun fashion choices throughout the series.

The fashion here is quirky, unique and very bright — fitting for both Deschanel and her character in the show.

Aria Montgomery: “Pretty Little Liars

Of course one of the “Pretty Little Liars” made this cast. Aria (Lucy Hale) is the standout fashion queen in this series, and it seems as if every episode marks a new, eye-catching outfit we’re all envious of.

Aria’s style is gothic, antique and certainly out there a lot of the time – but that’s what makes it so great.

Haley Dunphy: “Modern Family

Well, Haley (Sarah Hyland) does play a fashion obsessed college student in the show, so it’s only fitting that she be on the list. Plus, the best part about her fashion choices in the show is that they are completely normal, everyday looks for everyday people.

Haley’s style is comfy, fashion-forward and completely approachable, making it one of the most popular on this list.

Angela Montenegro: “Bones

And last but not least for our females is Angela Montenegro (Michaela Conlin) from “Bones.” While she’s a surprise addition to this list, her style is one of my personal favorites on TV.

Her outfits are business with that extra pop of unique and a dash of artsy, just like her character.

Men

Ichabod Crane: “Sleepy Hollow

Another of my personal favorites, how can you not put a man that’s stuck in the past when it comes to fashion on this list? Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) is the perfect man to kick off this section.

I think it’s fairly obvious this style is antique, but the really interesting part is that it also breathes a sexy confidence that many viewers aren’t expecting from a male that can tie his hair back into a ponytail.

Raymond Reddington: “The Blacklist

With his signature fedora and that whole serial killer-turned-good guy vibe going on, how could he not make this list? Reddington (James Spader) is killing it (so to speak) in the fashion world.

What other serial killer dresses in business attire and cares this much about their looks? One that oozes confidence and has most women swooning. The best part: I’m pretty sure that this is James Spader’s real-life fashion as well. Win-win.

Schmidt: “New Girl”

Schmidt (Max Greenfield) is taking the world by storm, and so is his fashion. Not only is the character hyper-aware of fashion, he actually spends most of his time discussing it.

Schmidt is versatile in regards to fashion: he goes from suits to jeans and looks just as great. Not only that, but we can actually learn quite a bit from his fashion expertise.

Agent Booth: “Bones”

Booth (David Boreanaz) is hot whether he’s dressed for his job at the FBI or staying home with his wife Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel). Either way, his fashion is on point.

His style goes from business to casual quickly, and sometimes even overlaps when he pairs his suit with quirky socks and that cocky belt-buckle. But there’s no denying it: when he puts on that leather jacket – that’s just good TV.

Sebastian Marburg: “Salem

And last but not least, Sebastian Marburg (Joe Doyle) is just a great addition to this list. His “Salem” style perfectly represents royalty in such a dark time period, and his fashion (even amongst the numerous bloodbaths) is always key.

Sebastian’s style is eye-catching, tending more towards sparkles and unique embellishments on darker, black or maroon outfits. His dark style with lighter elements convey his character well.

Let’s face it, TV has been getting much more creative as the years go on, and why shouldn’t TV fashion be the same?

So keep an eye out for best-dressed characters when our fall series premieres pick up in late August!
