As a stylish gal you definitely need to remain in touch with the latest styles hitting the streets before these looks go virally mainstream. The times are certainly changing so don’t be afraid to explore new fashion territory during 2015. Remain up to date and stay in tune with the brand new fashion trends of the new year ahead.

1) Baby Bell Bottom Pants

Contrary to the sleek fit of the past year’s skinny jean or the roominess of the culottes, 2015 is all about the baby bell bottoms. With an appropriately modernized flare at the leg, this toned down bell bottom combines the tailored cut of the skinny with the flirty flare of a wide-legged pant.

Try pairing these with a fitted tank or a structured blouse for a more tailored silhouette on the upper part of your torso. This will provide a sexy contrast against the looser fit of the bottom half of the baby bell bottom.

2) Karate Inspired Belt

The ritual of dressing to fight—putting on armor—is one women invoke when they describe what they wear in order to feel seen and heard in a room. Why not opt for the ultimate power suit, then, and dress like a ninja?

Hints were all over the runways for the spring: At Loewe, a white belt was looped at the hips, stiff and fresh like a real white belt, the rookie’s mark. At Tome, a black belt nipped a flowing dress, and at Alexander Wang, a floppy silk wrap belted the waist of a long blazer. According to designers, it’s a natural way to create a silhouette when wearing an oversized top.

3) Suede For Spring

Heavy fabrics aren’t exactly considered desirable after the fall/winter months, but this year’s spring season is ushering in a totally new welcome to warm weather transition materials.

Suede frocks, tops, and shoes have been unexpectedly predicted to join the spring 2015 brigade as one of the top must-have fabrics. It is probably because a suede piece is inherently luxurious, easy to pull off, and versatile in even the most muted of colors regardless in which manner that it is worn.

4) Eyeliner Adhesive

If you’re up for trying something new and outside the box but don’t want to commit to the extra workload, try out the latest trend in eye shadow cosmetics: the eyeliner appliqués.

These little strips imitate the bold cat-shaped eye shadow look of the 1960s without any of the potential mishaps. Simply pick your color of choice and apply one of these stick-on strips over a well-lined eye for an added dose of drama.

5) Gold Hair Accessories

Vamp up your tresses with a touch of class in the form of a toned down hair accessory. A minimal piece of gold hair hardware can dress up any up-do or half-up hairstyle, and can even make the worst case of bed head look intentionally styled.

Make a braid look that much more chic or fasten your loose locks with a simple shiny gold hair barrette, clip, or pin for a simple yet unexpected touch of elegance and delicate femininity.

6) Gingham Comeback

The once considered traditional and conservative gingham pattern is returning this year with a sartorial vengeance. This incredibly feminine print is returning with a vengeance for the spring season and is leaving no girl behind.

Although you may think that the “picnic plaid” is a print that is hard to pull off, donning a coordinating gingham set or separating pieces on their own is a simple way to add flair to any casual ensemble. It is especially lovely in taupes, blues, and reds and in unexpected cutout silhouettes.

7) Dr. Marten Boots

This new year will be garnering a few of our most favored items from past stylish eras.

Dr. Martens boots have been a mainstay in fashion for a long, long time, but we’re soon going to see a resurgence in the popularity of the exact low-profile lace-up styles you saved your babysitting money for in 1997.

Either in a worn-in brown, glossy patent black, or metallic and pastel hues, this look is going to bump the brand back up the totem pole of everyday shoes.
